Which of These Sounds Like Your Business Right Now?

Pick the one closest to where you are. Each has a free first step.

Finance Has Outgrown the Founder

Reporting still runs through spreadsheets and the bookkeeper, and decisions run on instinct and last month’s numbers.

Take the 5-Minute Assessment

Sales Are Growing and Cash Is Tight

Revenue is up and the bank balance doesn’t show it. You need to know where the cash is going and how much runway you have.

Book My Strategy Call

You Need Capital to Grow

A lender or investor wants a model, a plan, and someone at the table who can defend the numbers.

Book My Strategy Call

A Sale or Acquisition Is on the Table

You need to know what the business is worth, what would make it worth more, and how to move forward.

Four Ways We Help You Grow

Start with the one you need today and add others as the business grows. One team covers all four, so the people who build your plan already know your numbers when it is time to value or sell.

Fractional CFO

An experienced CFO at your leadership table for the decisions that shape the company: raising capital, working with your bank and board, pricing, and expansion. You get senior financial judgment at the level of involvement the business needs today.

Common engagements: capital strategy and fundraising, board and investor reporting, bank relationships and debt structure, preparing for a sale or acquisition, pricing and expansion decisions, and a finance partner for the CEO.

Fractional FP&A

Outsourced financial planning and analysis, staffed from analyst through director. We build the budget your team actually uses, forecasts that show cash and runway ahead of time, and monthly reporting that explains what changed and why.

Common engagements: annual operating plan and budget, rolling forecasts and cash planning, board and investor reporting packages, KPI dashboards, customer and product profitability, and scenario modeling.

Business Valuations

Know what your business is worth and what is holding the number back. When the number has to hold up with a buyer, a partner, or their advisors, our valuation professionals prepare a formal valuation, delivered as a calculation of value or a conclusion of value, to NACVA professional standards and at a fixed price.

Common engagements: exit planning and pre-sale valuations, partner buyouts and buy-sell agreements, succession and ownership transfers, valuing a company you plan to buy, and growth planning.

Sell-Side M&A Advisory

You have built something valuable. When you are ready to capitalize on it, we run the whole sale: preparing the business, finding a buyer with the right motivations who sees that value, negotiating the terms, and managing diligence through closing. Confidentiality is built into every step.

Common engagements: pre-sale valuation and readiness review, buyer identification and confidential marketing, offer evaluation and letter of intent negotiation, diligence management, and closing coordination with your attorney and CPA.

How the Pieces Fit Together

One finance partner from today’s number to the exit, so the plan, the reporting, and the valuation all point at the same goal: a more valuable company.

  1. 1Know the number

A valuation shows what the business is worth today and which drivers hold it back. Start with a free estimate.

  2. 2Set the target

We agree on where you want the business to go and what it needs to be worth when it gets there.

  3. 3Build the plan

The budget, the forecast, and the team to run them, staffed at the level the work needs.

  4. 4Keep score

Monthly reporting and periodic re-valuation show whether the moves are working.

  5. 5Sell when you are ready

When the timing is right, we run the sale of a business that is already prepared.

Two Free Ways to See Where You Stand

Not ready for a call yet? Start with your numbers. One tool estimates what your business is worth. The other scores the finance function behind it.

What Sets MyExec Apart?

Flexible, Scalable Depth

Most fractional CFO firms offer one person: a single CFO splitting time across several clients. Finance work happens at every level. Analysts build the models, managers run the monthly process, directors drive the plan, and a CFO turns it all into decisions.

With MyExec, you get the whole team. Use any level from analyst through CFO, alone or together, and scale up or down as your needs change. Each piece of work is done at the level it needs, so senior time goes to senior decisions. One engagement, one point of contact, one team.

Built to Make Your Business Worth More

Every engagement is structured around the things that make a business worth more: stronger earnings, healthier cash flow, profitable growth, a solid balance sheet, and a clear position in your market.

Because we also prepare business valuations, you can see the result in the number itself, measured at the start and again as the plan takes hold.

Proven Talent and Leadership

Every person on your engagement, from analyst through CFO, brings the credentials, the operating experience, and a track record in the specific work you need.

We are entrepreneurs too. Between us, we have completed the sale of our own business, advised numerous multi-million dollar sales, and worked corporate transactions worth hundreds of millions of dollars. We know what it takes to build a company and what it means to sell one.

Designed for $5M to $50M Revenue Businesses

We work with companies in the $5M to $50M revenue range, the stage where finance has outgrown the founder and a full executive finance team is still ahead of the business.

We know this stage well: the first senior finance hires, the capital questions, the systems that need to scale, the expectations of banks and boards, and the decisions that determine whether growth turns into a more valuable company.

Results That Drive Your Business Forward

Our work is measured by what it changes in the business. Here is what it changed for three clients.

Questions Owners Ask Us

What does MyExec do?

MyExec helps owners of founder-led companies know what their business is worth and build the finance function to make it worth more. We provide fractional CFO leadership, fractional FP&A, business valuations, and sell-side M&A advisory to companies with $5 million to $50 million in revenue. We are headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, and work with clients nationwide.

About MyExec

What is the difference between a fractional CFO and fractional FP&A?

Fractional FP&A builds and runs the planning, forecasting, reporting, and analysis behind your decisions. A fractional CFO leads the decisions themselves: capital, banking, investors, and strategy. Many clients use both, with an FP&A team running the numbers each month and a CFO engaged on the larger decisions. We staff either one, or both, in a single engagement.

More fractional CFO and FP&A questions

How much is my business worth?

Most private companies are valued as a multiple of earnings: seller’s discretionary earnings (SDE) for owner-run companies, and EBITDA for companies with a management team. The multiple depends on your industry, your size, your growth, and how much risk a buyer sees. Our free business valuation calculator gives you an estimate of value in about a minute. When the number has to hold up to a buyer or a partner, our valuation professionals prepare a formal valuation.

Get your estimate of value

When does a business need a valuation?

Owners most often need a valuation when planning an exit or succession, buying out a partner, setting up or updating a buy-sell agreement, weighing an acquisition, or setting a growth target. A valuation also shows which drivers hold the value back, which makes it a useful starting point for a plan even when a sale is years away.

How our business valuations work

How is your M&A advisory different from a business broker?

A broker typically lists a business and works the inquiries that come in. We run a managed sale process: valuation and preparation, a targeted search for buyers with the right motivations, confidential outreach, offers from qualified buyers, and hands-on support through diligence and closing. We represent only you, and we work with your attorney and CPA as one team.

How we sell your business

How much do your services cost?

Every engagement is scoped to the work. Formal valuations are quoted at a fixed price. Fractional CFO and FP&A engagements are priced to the level of support and the depth of the team, with no minimum hours, no long-term contracts, and no termination fees. Sell-side engagements are structured around your transaction, and we walk through the terms on the first call.

What is the Strategic Finance Assessment?

It is a free diagnostic for CEOs and founders that takes a few minutes. It scores your finance function across six dimensions of strategic finance: enterprise value, planning and forecasting, financial visibility, analysis and decision support, unit economics, and strategic alignment. You get your score, a breakdown by dimension, and what to do next, plus our FP&A Guide: 7 Tools to Build a Strategic Finance Function.

Take the assessment

What industries do you work with?

We work across industries. Our clients have included manufacturers, professional services firms, real estate developers, aviation services companies, and multi-unit retail and consumer brands. What they share is the stage: a growing business that has outgrown founder-led finance.

See our case studies

Do you do bookkeeping, accounting, or tax work?

We focus on planning, analysis, valuation, and transactions, and we work alongside your bookkeeper, controller, or CPA firm. Our work relies on clean, current books. If yours need attention first, we can recommend trusted partners.

Do you work with companies outside Pennsylvania?

Yes. MyExec is headquartered in Reading, Pennsylvania, and works with founder-led companies across the mid-Atlantic and nationwide.

For CPA Firms and Advisors

Your clients ask for work outside your core practice: business valuations, budgeting and forecasting, a finance leader who owns the numbers between your touchpoints. We deliver it in partnership with firms like yours, white-label under your brand or as a direct referral. You keep the client relationship, and we never compete for it. We also refer our own clients to trusted partners, so the relationship works in both directions.
