Fractional Finance for Your Next Stage of Growth
MyExec is a fractional finance practice built for growth-oriented companies that have outgrown founder-led finance but aren't ready for an in-house team. We bring scalable expertise that drives enterprise value.
The Growth-Stage Finance Gap
At MyExec, we recognize a fundamental truth of scaling: what got your company to $5M in revenue won’t be what gets you to $100M.
Growth-stage companies hit a predictable wall. The spreadsheets that ran the business at $5M start breaking as the company grows.
The financial questions get harder — pricing, capital allocation, hiring plans, M&A readiness — and the answers matter more.
But the team that built the business is now stretched thin, and a full-time CFO with the right experience is a $300K+ commitment that doesn't fit the stage.
MyExec was built for that gap.
We're a fractional finance practice that delivers the depth of a corporate finance team without the cost or commitment of building one in-house.
Engagements scale from analyst-level execution through CFO-level strategy. The work is decision-focused, goal-oriented, and built to drive enterprise value.
For most of our clients, this is the first time finance has been a strategic function rather than a back-office one. The shift changes how the business runs.
Meet Our Founder
MyExec was founded by Nick Piscani, a finance practitioner with a background in corporate finance, FP&A, and transaction advisory.
The practice grew out of a recurring observation across his work: growth-stage companies were making important financial decisions without the depth of analysis and strategic input those decisions required.
Nick's career has spanned corporate finance roles, fractional advisory work with founder-led businesses, and transaction work on the buy- and sell-side of mid-market M&A. He holds the Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) designation through the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and brings the same valuation discipline used in M&A engagements to the strategic finance work MyExec delivers.
He built MyExec to deliver finance work the way it should be done. Quality, informed work, focused on the decisions that drive enterprise value, executed by senior practitioners, and built to a standard that holds up under scrutiny from boards, lenders, and acquirers.
What Makes MyExec Different
Four principles shape every MyExec engagement.
1. Aligned to the strategy
Every engagement starts with the company's strategic objectives and works backward into the finance work that supports them. Pricing, capital allocation, hiring plans, and growth investments get analyzed against where the business is going — not just where it is today. The output is finance work that moves the strategy forward, not finance work that sits parallel to it.
2. Scalable depth and expertise
Engagements pull from analyst, director, and CFO-level capacity as the work requires it. A pricing study that needs three weeks of analyst execution and two days of CFO review gets exactly that; not a senior practitioner doing analyst work at a senior rate, and not an analyst working past their depth on a strategic question.
3. Built to drive enterprise value
We know that our work is measured by impact, not output. If we are not making your business more valuable, we have failed. Every engagement is anchored to outcomes that show up in the company's financials, its strategic position, or its readiness for what's next — capital, transaction, or scale.
4. Standards that hold up
The work has to stand up to scrutiny from the people who matter: boards, lenders, investors, and acquirers. We build to that standard by default, whether or not those audiences are in the room today. That discipline is the difference between finance work that informs and supports value creation and one that does not.
Who We Serve
MyExec serves growth-oriented companies in the $5M to $50M revenue range, across industries. Our clients have built businesses past the point where founder-led finance can carry them, and need the depth of a corporate finance function without the overhead of building one in-house.
We work best with companies that…
Are generating $5M to $50M in revenue and pursuing meaningful growth — organic, acquisitive, or both
Have outgrown bookkeeper or controller-level finance and need strategic finance support beyond that capability
Are making decisions today that will define the next stage of the business like pricing, capital, hiring, M&A, or exit readiness
Want a finance partner who challenges assumptions and brings recommendations, not one who waits to be told what to model
Where we are not the right fit…
We're not the right partner for early-stage startups pre-revenue or pre-product-market-fit, for companies looking primarily for bookkeeping or compliance work, or for organizations that want a finance function that executes orders rather than shapes decisions.
Those are real needs, but they aren't what MyExec is built for.
